GRAPEVINE – 9th to 23rd February 2020

Church Family News

Please remember in your prayers:- It is good to report that Andrew Stoves is now at North Tees Hospital and has already started on the occupational therapy and physiotherapy he requires to get him well on the way to a good recovery. (Just take it one day at a time Andrew and with your positive attitude you will see continuing improvement which in turn will get you home in the not too distant future.) Please keep Andrew, Dawn and all the family in your prayers. We think of all members of our church family who are maybe struggling with health problems, and we think of those who are due to undergo hospital tests, operations, treatments etc for various conditions or perhaps waiting for results and trust all will go well for them. We also remember all Church family and friends who can no longer share in fellowship with us because of being housebound or who are now in the loving care of Care Homes in the area, and feel sure that knowing they are in our thoughts and prayers is a comfort to them.

An e-mail received from Margaret Pringle asked us to keep Margaret and Jim and all their family in our prayers following the sudden death of their Son Keith, last Sunday 2nd, (whilst Margaret was sharing worship with us at GL) and as can be expected they are devastated and in deep shock. We offer all Margaret & Jim’s family our sincere condolences and prayers and hope that they feel God’s love surrounding them at such a sad time. The funeral service for Keith will take place on Friday 21st February at 11.30am in St. Bede’s Chapel at Teesside Crematorium and will be conducted by our own Rev Peter . May God Bless You All.

Margaret Schofield had a nasty fall in her kitchen last Sunday afternoon, but we are pleased to say that although a little battered and bruised, an X-ray at the hospital thankfully revealed no fractures to her face, she has tried to take things very gently this week.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of John Chisholm (Millie’s Dad) in the early hours of Friday 7th February. John was the dear Husband of the late Muriel, a dear Father, Father in Law and Granddad. The funeral will be held at Greens Lane, but as yet it is too early to be able to pass on any further information. Please keep, Millie, Jim and David together with Millie’s siblings and their families in your prayers. We offer them our love and support together with sincere condolences. John was 99 and had told the family he just wanted “to go to sleep”. He now has his wish, reunited with Muriel and sleeping peacefully in the arms of our Lord

Happy Birthday, Congratulations and Best Wishes to all who have Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries during the next two weeks.
