Knit and Natter Group

Our Knit & Natter Group started in January 2011 and meets from 2.00 – 4.00pm on alternate Wednesday afternoons. It is a time when anyone can come along and share friendship, fellowship with an element of productivity thrown in. A number of our ladies have been knitting squares which have then been sewn into extremely colourful blankets by other ladies who do not knit. Warm hats & scarves have also been made and sent to the relevant Charity for soldiers serving in Afghanistan and support has been given to the Apostleship of the Sea chaplaincy, supplying balaclavas for seafarers. The Group is always open to any ideas that anyone wishes to bring along as to where they can be of help in the community with their knitted items. They are also always willing to receive any knitting wool that anyone may wish to donate – this need not be delivered to the Church but will gladly be collected following receipt of a phone call. During their get together they have a short much appreciated devotional time and the afternoon is rounded off with tea, biscuits and plenty of chat.

You may be wondering what happens on the ‘alternate Wednesday afternoons’ – well this is when another group for ladies comes together, Ladies Circle .

If you feel you would like to pop along to either of the above Groups, then please do – you will be sure of a warm welcome from all who already attend either one if not both of the meetings.
